I really enjoyed this article Andrea. As a pursuer in relationship with a withdraw, I can totally relate. And as a couple therapist, I’d say you’re right on the money. Nothing good happens after 2 AM and it’s almost impossible to act on that reality when you’re fighting at 2 AM it’s kind of a catch 22 isn’t it?
A very nice explanation, Anne. It's a reminder of two things, for me. That I should try to get to sleep earlier (good luck with that, self), and that not having a partner has, at least, some value. Fortunately, I don't argue with myself, so I'm safe in that respect.
Like your lengthy sleeps, I simply cannot imagine talking to someone on the phone for that length of time. And in bed? Wow.
Sleeping on it is my go to!

Your link is broken but I found you :)
I completely agree. Sometimes sleep solves things!
Really annoyingly often :)
Some conversations need a rested brain more than another hour.
Truly learned the hard way. :)
In my house, nothing every good happens after about 8pm...that's when my primitive brain kicks into high gear!
If things continue as they have been, pretty soon I'll be getting in bed at 6pm. :)
You and me both friend!
Wonderful! For me, nothing good happens after 9pm! 🤣
I mean same, I was much younger then 😂

It sure is! I’m grateful my withdrawer taught me this eventually 😊

You don't argue with yourself?? What kind of superhero are you?
And yeah, don't really recommend the conversation length, much like many other things I routinely did in my youth. :)
Not a superhero, but maybe a little different to most.
Youth brings many habits that we later look on with serious doubt - life is like that.
It definitely is 🙂
